Private Lessons/Evaluations

Offered in either our office or in your home, private lessons are tailored toward the needs of you and your pet. Concentrate on basic obedience, problem solving or behavior modification. Individual lessons can evaluate your dog's behavior problems and provide solutions to modify behaviors. Recommended for dogs of all ages and breeds. Length and cost varies depending on the nature of the problem and the temperament of the dog. The following list describes some of our most common private lessons:

One-hour behavioral assessment:

This is the best option to learn about your dog before training if you are having specific behavioral issues, or choose the best dog to add to your home. The evaluation lasts approximately one hour and you will be provided with a detail written report.

One-hour private lesson:

Need a little one-on-one training to work on a few basic problems or ask questions? Want to spend some time doing some refresher training? A private lessons is the perfect solution for you and your pet.

One-hour new puppy headstart session:

Just got a new puppy and don't know what to do? Let us help by providing you with detailed information to get your puppy off on the right foot. Our one-on-one session will provide you with information on humane and practical methods for raising your new best friend.

One-hour housetraining your puppy/dog session:

Accidents in the house? This one-hour session will cover information on training the dog where to eliminate, setting the dog up for success to avoid accidents, proper clean-up should an accident occur, the effects of nutrition on potty-training, and how to avoid the common mistakes many owners make. We will work with you to set up a program that is easy for you to implement and effective for housetraining your dog.

6-session behavior and training program:

A full-length program offered as private sessions with the family to cover basic obedience and/or behavior modification programs for any pet.

In-office: $600
In-home: $840

Private Training while dog is boarded or attending daycare.

This option allows an instructor to work with your dog alone while the dog is attending either daycare or boarding. The training covers basic obedience commands (the longer session also includes training around distractions). Following the training the owner is taught how to reinforce the commands at home. This is an excellent program to get a faster start on training.
