groups. Please note that not all of these groups conduct behavioral assessments on dogs in their care. Research each group on its individual merits.

Animal Allies, a non-profit animal rescue group located in the metro Washington D.C. area. Animal
Allies volunteers work to rescue lost, abandoned, or stray animals and find loving homes for them if possible. All animals
in their system are vetted to check for disease and spayed and neutered to stop the cycle of unwanted animals.
Animal Welfare League of Alexandria - Dedicated to the welfare of both animals and people in our community, the
League cares for unwanted and homeless animals, places animals in permanent, loving homes, and offers many programs and services
to help animals and their companions
Maryland, Northern Virginia and the District of Columbia.
