Dear Trainers at All About Dogs,

I wanted to thank you for all of your hard work with our family. I imagine training humans may seem much more difficult than training the dogs at times so I wanted to let you know that your hard work is truly appreciated. Last week I was walking our two dogs, a Cockapoo named Patches and an Black Lab/Golden Retriever mix named Zoe. It was pre-dawn and Zoe is completely black. We were about two miles from home, one block from Rt 1 near Quantico rush hour traffic. Zoe saw a rabbit and went from "0" to "60" in 3 seconds flat breaking the leash like it was a thread. As I was panicking I remembered two things that would help. The name game and the sit command and I used them in that order. Zoe obeyed each with flying colors and it may have saved her life that morning. Thank you! Thank you, from every one of us.

We appreciate each of you,
Jennifer

This is a long e-mail but I feel these dogs are worth everything we can do for them.

Last June I adopted Pebbles, now Greta, (4 months old) She was well behaved and cuddly and actually picked me. I had set out to adopt an older dog, but when Greta climbed into my lap and kissed me I knew it was she that was selecting me and not the other way around.

Greta was a real delight when we brought her home and took to my two grandchildren ages 11 and 8. I signed her up right away at a local pet store. Our first day at class was not the best. She was so fearful of the other puppies and their people. Actually, she was ready to take on everyone. Well, needless to say we were not welcomed into that puppy class. We did finish it, but working by ourselves.

I asked for any suggests German Shepherd rescue could give me. Many people suggested that I try All About Dogs here in Woodbridge. I called for an appointment and Robin and Colleen did a behavior assessment with Greta. Greta showed so much aggression that Colleen stopped before she pushed Greta too far. I signed Greta up for the Rowdy Rovers class and began that night. She has been going since late Sept. and I have seen such a world of difference. Some of the things the ladies told me was the some lines of shepherds seem to be more aggressive and they said that these dogs should have corn taken out of their diets. We changed to Blue Buffalo Holistic dog food. Greta gets nothing with corn. In the time that Greta has been going to Rowdy Rovers she has progressed more than anyone believed possible.

Having Greta put down never entered my mind. She is so sweet and loving I want to give her the affection she gives me. I know she will probably never go to a dog park or play with any dog other than her best friend Libby (my daughter's Berner Sentahund), but we can live with that. I thank those that suggested All About Dogs.

Hi,
Just wanted to let you know we had a nice long (1 mile) walk this morning with treats, played Find It, sit and stay at street corners and did very well. Then a man came walking toward us so I led Sammy off into the grass, got his attention, he sat and got a treat, downed and got a treat. Sammy only looked briefly at the man, then turned back to look me in the eyes. What a Change!! And Sammy is pooped, taking a nap now.

I just wanted to let you both know how much I appreciate your individualized time and attention with us. You Gals are the BEST!!

See you Thursday!

Hi Robin,
Angie (Jack Russell mix) and I attended classes two years ago, and though it was only for 3 months and we haven't been back (busy schedule you know) when we go for walks (with my two Corgis as well) and I call "Angie!" she still immediately turns her head my way and looks at me!  She is still an active girl but as long as we have daily walks and ball throwing to get some of her "electricity" burned out, she's very well behaved.
Thanks for your help and the great staff you have.  I have recommended you to several people.

I want to thank you for providing such a wonderful training service.  Our two Bichons, Caspar and Bridgette both attended your training classes - Bridgette took the Levels training that we really loved.

When we moved to Florida we all really missed going to your classes but I want to say that you would be proud of them.  They both have passed their CGC and TDI tests and I attribute a good part of that to your wonderful training techniques.

Again, thank you,
Gaye

I recently took a long term foster of mine to levels training at All About Dogs - Peachy is a young female Doberman who was previously unsocialized and consequently, fearful of strangers. I have previously attended many other group classes in the area, and I was impressed with all of the trainers at All About Dogs - their knowledge of dog behavior, their ease in dealing with Peachy, and their common sense and warmth in dealing with the people in class as well as the pooches.

I was not made to feel like I had a "bad dog" and Peachy enjoyed the experience immensely and improved greatly. I will continue to recommend All About Dogs to everyone!

We very much enjoyed all the wonderful advice, guidance and FUN that we had and Maggie enjoyed, at All About Dogs. You have a wonderful business and an excellent, caring and professional staff.

Hi Robin.

It makes me happy to hear that you are getting good reports about  Leeloo! I am very proud of her and we are both very lucky to have each other. We have been working hard, but we do owe a lot of her progress to all of you at All About Dogs! Now that we made it through the RR class, we are able to participate and enjoy the group levels classes (YEAH). I don't know if Colleen told you this: one reason we enrolled in the RR class is because we were kicked out of another facility after the second class This is why I am so grateful for the patience and understanding of you and your trainers! NO KIDDING! I used to be in tears and so frustrated when I thought of how I would be able to train Leeloo-now I am excited about it and know Leeloo is having fun-even if she does have a challenge every once in a while.

Pam (LeeLoo's Mom)

Robin,

I am writing to thank you and your staff for the excellent and enjoyable training. Teo was TDI certified yesterday and the test was a breeze, largely thanks to having been expertly prepared. I appreciate that much of the training is at least as much for the owner as it is for the dog and for providing me with all kinds of encouragement and information about therapy dog certification and work.

Regards,

Dawn Alee a.k.a. Teo’s mom
