Vaccinations

All puppies and dogs attending any All About Dogs training class must be up-to-date with their age-appropriate rabies and distemper vaccinations. Bordatella (canine cough) is required at our Annandale location and recommended for dogs coming to Woodbridge or Springfield.

Owners are required to bring a copy of their dog's veterinary records to orientation or ask their vet to fax them to our office at 703-297-4406 before bringing the dog to class.

We will turn away any dog that does not have these records.

How old does my puppy need to be to start training?

We love puppies and encourage them to get started training right away. We agree with the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior's position paper on the importance of early socialization.

Puppies must be at least 8 weeks old and up to date on their age-appropriate vaccinations to join our training classes. We welcome puppies in the regular classes, but also strongly recommend our special three-week puppy socialization class for puppies under 16 weeks old.
